Rebates
Private health insurance rebates
If you have a private health insurance policy with ancillary (extras) cover, you may be covered for clinical psychology. Contact your insurer to check if you are covered, if any waiting periods need to be served and what rebate you can expect. Rebates are often between $40.00 to $70.00 per session.
Medicare rebates
You can access a rebate from Medicare if you obtain a referral from a private treating consultant psychiatrist, a consultant paediatrician, or a mental health care plan (MHCP) from your GP. A mental health care plan provides rebates for up to ten psychology sessions per calendar year. Medicare rebates range from $87.45 to $128.40.
Workers compensation, motor vehicle accident insurance or employee assistance programs (EAPs)
In some cases clinical psychology may be covered by workers compensation, motor vehicle accident insurance or another organisation. Please contact your provider to check if you are covered. If you have a pending or approved claim, one of our clinical psychologists can contact your provider to ascertain how many sessions you are entitled to.
NDIS or DVA rebates
Some of our therapists will see people under NDIS or DVA. Visit our team page to find our more, or contact us.
