Clinical and Registered Psychology
Standard therapy session - Clinical Psychologist (50 minutes)
$220.00 AUD (clinical psychology is generally exempt from GST). You may be eligible for a rebate, please see below.

$180.00 AUD (psychology is generally exempt from GST). You may be eligible for a rebate, please see below.
Cancellation fee
A cancellation fee may be charged if 24 hours notice is not given.
Private health insurance rebates
If you have a private health insurance policy with ancillary (extras) cover, you may be covered for clinical psychology. Contact your insurer to check if you are covered, if any waiting periods need to be served and what rebate you can expect. Rebates are often between $40.00 to $70.00 per session.
Medicare rebates
You can access a rebate from Medicare if you obtain a referral from a private treating consultant psychiatrist, a consultant paediatrician, or a mental health care plan (MHCP) from your GP. A mental health care plan provides rebates for up to ten psychology sessions per calendar year. Medicare rebates range from $87.45 to $128.40.
Workers compensation and motor vehicle accident insurance
In some cases clinical psychology may be covered by workers compensation or motor vehicle accident insurance. Please contact your provider to check if you are covered. If you have a pending or approved claim, one of our clinical psychologists can contact your provider to ascertain how many sessions you are entitled to.

The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends that psychologists charge 1.5 times the scheduled fee to appear at court as an expert witness.
